The Net House
"The Sea, once it casts its spell, holds one in its net of wonder forever.” Jacques Cousteau The Net House is an specific habitat for oceanographer Jacques Cousteau. He himself observed the sea as a "net" and this term is used as the base concept of this design. The architecture of this residence is dressed in a skin that simulates a net and its rusty texture emulates the effect of time on ship metal. In addition, due to its location, the historic masonry walls of Puerto Rico's Old San Juan are taken advantage of, remaining exposed to achieve an ancient and coral appearance inside the space.
